Sao Paulo – A new step forward stronger relations between the University of Bologna and Brazil comes from the cooperation agreement signed between the Italian university and the Grupo Coimbra de Universidade Brasilieras, a leading Brazilian university network. The Coimbra Group brings together fifty among the main institutions of Brazil, at the federal, state and private level – a grouping that includes 98% of Brazil’s master’s programs and doctoral offers, and 94% of research groups. Established in 2008, mirroring the Coimbra Europe group, the Group’s goal is to contribute to the internationalization process of the network within a systemic approach. The agreement will strengthen relations between the University of Bologna and Brazilian universities, joining the several other conventions signed in recent years with individual universities, thanks to the participation in the program Ciencia Sem Fronteiras.
