Chisinau – The effort to attract more and new foreign investors, a good performance in exports, and the business competitiveness and excellence in the agro-food sector are the key ingredients in Ferrara’s recipe for success. “This is Ferrara, a province that has always wanted to be more European, with an international outlook” in the works of President Paolo Govoni during the meeting, which took place on 18 February in the Chamber of Commerce with the Consul General of the Republic of Moldova to Milan, Sergiu Concerenco. Govoni and Concerenco agreed on the opportunity to meet in the next few months in Milan to begin new collaboration between the province of Ferrara and Moldova on economic, investment, tourism and food security issue. Moreover, in 2014, Ferrara exports to the Republic of Moldova amounted to €1,259,627 (for an increase over the previous year of 36.2%). The data for the first nine months of 2015 suggests a further increase in exports, which in September 2015 had already passed the 2014 threshold. Ferrara’s most popular goods are agricultural and metal processing products. (9Colonne)
