(July 19, 2016) Consolidating existing relations, institutional relations and looking for new projects. Agriculture brings Argentina and Emilia Romagna closer together. Regional councillor Simona Caselli and President of the Province of Ravenna, Claudio Casadio (along with a delegation formed of the general director of the local department, Valtiero Mazzotti and regional officials) met with the president of the Argentinian province of Rigo Negro, Alberto E. Weretilneck, this afternoon in Faenza at Granfrutta Zani coop along with Argentinian Ambassador to Italy Tomàs Ferrari. They were also accompanied by a group of businessmen in the agricultural sector of Argentina on a technical-commercial mission to Emilia Romagna. The objective of the meeting was to identify new collaborative projects in the agricultural sector that take advantage of the complementarity between the productions of Argentina and Emilia-Romagna. The Rio Negro province is a very agricultural province with an area that is equal to two thirds of Italy. It is proud of its relations with Emilia Romagna due to the presence of a large Emilia-Romagna community that was established at the beginning of the twentieth century who gave the local agriculture a great push due to a programme of hydraulic works.
