(September 26, 2016) The economic and trade relations between Italy and Mexico pass through Umbria. The governor of the Mexican state of Tlaxcala, Mariano Gonzale Zarur, was received this morning by the President of Umbria, Catiuscia Marini; to accompany the President – among others – Ernesto Cesaretti, president of Confindustria Umbria, which is hosting the Mexican. The state of Tlaxcala, as Umbria, is small and has a strategic central location within the state of Mexico: here is particularly significant the presence of the mechanical, and especially automotive, industry. Marini recalled that Umbria “is a small region, but with a particularly significant industrial history and cutting-edge engineering companies, even of the ‘automotive industry’. So – said the president – we are very interested in new international relations that might facilitate the further internationalization of our business system and as a region we are engaged in a specific support action towards these companies”.
