Dec. 28 – New achievements and new horizons for Enel Green Power, as the company connected three new wind farms in Romania: Elcomex EOL (Zephir I), Targusor (Zephir II) and Gebelesis, in the Dobrogea region, for a total installed capacity of 206 MW and an operational production of approximately 560 million kWh per year. In particular, the Elcomex EOL wind farm consists of 52 wind turbines of 2.3 MW each, for a total installed capacity of 120 MW. It will be able to produce (once fully operational) about 340 million kWh per year. The Targusor system – located in the district of Konstanz, in the historical region of Dobrudja – consists of 26 wind turbines of 2.3 MW each, for a total installed capacity of 60 MW; it will produce over 170 million kWh per year. Gebelesis consists of five wind turbines of 3 MW each and 6 wind turbines of 2 MW each, for a total installed capacity of 27 MW; this new plant will produce about 50 million kWh per year. “The total investment value of the construction of the plant – said the firm in a statement – is approximately € 340 million, reflecting EGP’s strategy to help the production of renewable energy in Romania, where EGP has reached in just two years about 500 MW of total installed capacity in wind energy.”
