25 August, 2015 – Andrea Bocelli is one of the most renowned Italian singers abroad. For over twenty years, his name has been linked to an endless series of international hits. Beloved both in Europe and in America, Bocelli has sold over 80 million albums worldwide and five years ago his name was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And today the tenor is ready to present to the world his new project: an album entirely dedicated to film music to be released on October 23 by Sugar in 75 countries. “Cinema” is an album that pays ribute to the best soundtracks of all time, and comes two years after “Passione” (which won the Latin Billboard Latin Music Awards and ranked second in the Billboard 200). The first song from “Cinema” is “Nelle tue mani”, from the soundtrack of “The Gladiator” by Ridley Scott. “A piece of great effect – explains Bocelli – which returns all the pathos and epic feeling of the film, evoking the peculiarities of moral character: a brave hero and a loyal friend we all wish for, a father, husband, son.” The song is accompanied by a video filmed in the desert of El Mirage, California, starring two-time Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner John Travolta, and the sons of Andrea Bocelli, Virginia (for the first time in a video) and Matteo. The direction has been entrusted to one of the most brilliant Italian filmmakera, Gaetano Morbioli.
