Mexico City – The script of “The King is Crazy”, written by director Flavio Sciolè was published in Mexico in the volume “Contemporary Italian Theatre” published by the Secretaria de Cultura de Jalisco. The book, published by Samuel Gómez Luna Cortés in the “Colección Teatro” series, contains the Italian version and Spanish translation of the 16 monologues of Italian authors who responded to the invitation of the Mexican actor and producer, Luis Miguel López. This volume stems from the idea of an exchange of conferences, publications, and performances between CENDIC (National Centre for Contemporary Italian Theatre) and the Institute of Aesthetic Research at the University of Guadalajara. “The King is Crazy”, written in 1999, is one of the first pieces of Ateo Teatro by Sciolè, which debuted in Benevento in 2000.
