Beijing. Deputy Mayor, Guido Montanari and Chinese Consul in Milan, Sogn Zuefeng meet at Palazzo Civico, in Turin. This was the Chinese Consul’s first visit to Turin, at the beginning of the mandate, with the aim of strengthening ties between Turin and Asian cities. Turin has maintained relations with China that began with its twinning in 1985 with Shenyang and agreements with Beijing, Shenzhen, Harbin, Hefei, and Luoyang. Turin consists of eight thousand firmly integrated constituencies. The deputy mayor emphasised that the Turin Civic Administration is firmly committed to engaging in relations and to conclude international agreements, in order to facilitate institutional, economic, museum, and training exchanges; and in particular with the university world, like those that have long been active with the Polytechnic.
